Blasting media recycling system / blasting media processing
Just as for blast media transport, there are also different methods for blast media recycling that can be used depending on the blast media and the conditions. Each return transport method has its own coordinated processing unit.

In order to keep the economic benefits of blasting media reprocessing in mind, the maximum usage cycles of each blasting media should also be clarified. A presumed low-cost blast media can very quickly become expensive if it is not used several times.
In the most extreme case and regardless of the area of application, copper slag and steel grit are contrasted here. Copper slag can generally only be used once, whereas steel grit can be used up to 200 times.
However, the processing of blast media does not only have a financial advantage. The use of recycled blast media also has an effect on the blasted surface, as only blast media that still has a sufficient abrasive effect is actually used.
In order to determine the appropriate recycling system, it is important to determine the blast media used in advance, just as with the return transport system. Clemco offers various types of abrasive processing, each of which is specially adapted to the respective return transport system.
